Alison Grounds will be speaking at Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) “Hot Topics in Electronic Discovery 2024: What Corporate and Outside Counsel Need to Know” in New York on September 24, 2024. Alison will lead the panel, “The Ethics of Using Generative AI in Litigation” starting at 11:30 a.m. ET. The panel will cover the ethics rules and opinions including ABA Formal Opinion 512, ABA Model Rules 1.1, 2.1, 1.6 and 3.3, other state bar association ethics opinions (Michigan, California, Florida, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey), and proposed amendments to state rules of professional conduct. This session aims to equip legal professionals with the knowledge to ethically integrate GAI tools into their litigation practices.
