Alison Grounds, a partner with Troutman Pepper and the founder and managing director of Troutman Pepper eMerge, was quoted in an American Lawyer article titled, “After Sliding at Pandemic’s Start, Law Firm Subsidiaries Are Soaring.”
At Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders’ eMerge, managing director Alison Grounds reported a significant increase in demand, adding that the subsidiary saw a spike in productivity in the early months of the pandemic as cancelled travel plans and time once spent commuting was quickly filled by client work.
“We are definitely slated to exceed our expectations for 2020,” she said. “The e-discovery space was particularly well suited for a conversion to remote work.”
She’s also bullish on 2021, noting that steady demand has just prompted her to hire five new attorneys.
