Alison Grounds, founder and managing partner of Troutman eMerge, will speak on the panel, “Generative AI and Its Applications in eDiscovery,” as part of PLI’s Hot Topics in Electronic Discovery 2026: What Corporate and Outside Counsel Need to Know. She will be joined by John J. Rosenthal of Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, Scott Cohen of Lineal, and Tracey Vinson of Bayer U.S. LLC. The panel will take place on Tuesday, September 29, from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. ET.

This panel will focus on the use of Gen AI in eDiscovery, including for relevancy determination, identification of privileged information and fact development. After completing this session, participants will be able to:

• Understand the potential use cases of Gen AI for eDiscovery, including early case assessment, relevancy determination, privilege identification and fact development.
• Become familiar with the available generative AI tools and how to evaluate and select tools.
• Understand workflows that can be implemented to improve efficiencies and reduce costs with generative AI.
